A Public-Private Partnership Revitalizing the River Ecosystem of New York and New Jersey
We're bridging science, community, and commerce to create a living model for urban environmental recovery.
IMPACT
STRONGER SHORELINES
Reef structures formed by oysters may reduce erosion and buffer storm surges. This could help stabilize the river’s edge, especially in flood-prone areas.
SCALABLE MODEL
If our pilot succeeds, this approach could serve as a blueprint for other cities navigating waterway restoration and climate adaptation.
What happens if this works?
If successful, the ripple effects will be transformational.
CLEANER WATER
Oysters act like natural filters, each capable of cleaning up to 50 gallons of water a day. Healthier water benefits everything; from wildlife to waterfront living.
ECONOMIC BOOST
Restaurants, real estate developers, and small businesses all benefit from a cleaner, more vibrant riverfront. It’s not just environmental, it’s economic.
T H E F A R M S
LAND
It starts in a controlled facility in New Jersey.
Here, oysters are nurtured in a stable environment where we can track their growth, health, and survival. This early stage helps us understand how they're developing before introducing any variables.
Our approach combines land-based care with real-world testing in the river.
SEA
Once the oysters are strong enough, they’re transferred into selected zones along the river.
This phase allows us to observe how they adapt to the urban water system — including current, salinity, and ecosystem interactions.
This two-part system gives us flexibility. It provides time to learn, protects the investment, and helps us gather data before deciding what comes next. We're not rushing to scale. We're testing first. Carefully and transparently.

“ This is a pilot but the Opportunity is Real”
This project is local. It’s for the people who live here, work here, and walk these shorelines every day.
We believe river restoration only works when everyone is invited in. That means listening, collaborating, and building with the people who know this place best.
LOCAL RESIDENTS
You are closest to the water and closest to the impact.
A cleaner, safer shoreline doesn’t just improve the view. It brings real value to your home, your health, and your neighborhood.
YOUTH & EDUCATION
We're opening doors for students, teachers, and local schools to take part.
Whether through site visits, training programs, or classroom connections, we want young people to see their role in shaping the future of this river.
PARTNERS & SUPPORTERS
Behind every oyster, there’s a team.
From community groups and small businesses to environmental experts and real estate developers, we’re building this together. On this page, we’ll continue to highlight the people and partners helping make it happen.
